Every family needs essential things such as food, shelter, clothing, education, and health services.
At Nicholas House, our role is to help homeless families by providing these basic needs so they can focus on getting their lives back on track and achieving self-sufficiency.
There are several ways you can help provide basic needs for our clients:
- Buy a few items from our General Needs List or Amazon Wish List.
- Provide transportation gift cards using Lyft. Email ajohnson@nicholashouse.org for more information and questions about Lyft gift cards.
- Put together an Essentials Kit.
- If you are looking for a more long-term way to support our families, consider becoming a Family Needs Sponsor.

Provide an Essentials Kit
Bedroom Linens Kit
When our families are ready to move independently, we provide a starter kit of supplies needed for their new home that is 100% supplied by donations. In this activity, you can support the needs of our families from the comfort of your own home.
How it Works:

- Choose a size (Twin, Queen, or King) and include one of each item requested.
- Ship or hand deliver the kit to Nicholas House anytime Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 5:30pm. Our address is 830 Boulevard SE, Atlanta GA 30312.
